Wilder Kaiser

The Mountain Academy, "TMA," Wilder Kaiser –

A little more than 1 year I started a new adventure with The Mountain Academy.

Des then I could share with new teammates some trips that have led me to discover mountains and climbing to recommend.

Austria is an area totally unknown to us. Language is a problem, perhaps this is not very popular here, but it is definitely a place to take into account, as for your next holiday!

Thanks to my teammate, Benjamin could get me a list of duties to come back. But a list that speaks only to the Wilder Kaiser in Austria because although there are several walls really incredible quality with a brutal way (Untersberg) and alpine places with huge walls like Watzmann, the Wilder is one of those places that trap, as Montserrat.

List of channels absolutely recommended:

1. Pumprisse, 220 m. 6b Fleischbankpfeiler
2. Verschneidung, 430 m. 6c. Fleischbankpfeiler
3. Altewestwand, 160 m. 6a. Bauernpredigtstuhl
4. Buhl, 568 m. 6a. SW Maukspitze.
5. Directisissima, 240 m. 7a. Predigstuhl.

The Pumprisse.

To climb and enjoy the mythical "Pumprisse" is more than advisable to bring friends of the fat (# 3, # 4, # 5 and even # 6). Otherwise we may feel the unbearable weight of gravity in the famed throughout offwidht. It is a path that today does not have many repetitions but essential to all they can climb.

This was the second Stage with the "TMA" and was fortunate to meet people and Ueli Steck and Robert Jasper. A highlight Steck tricks to scale the Eiger north in less than 3 hours or to hear how Jasper expeditions to remote places. But above all gave us the opportunity to visit one of the most emblematic places in the world of climbing, the Wilder Kaiser.

When I started to take my first steps into the world of climbing remember I read a book called "Seventh grade" and written by a climber who was then sounded a brand of candy, Reinhold Messner. I was deeply inspired and after 10 years I still remember a chapter in which he spoke of "Pumprisse" the first track from seventh grade. We know the degree of relativity and the first, but the fact is that the year 1977 and Reinhard Karl Helmut Kiene gave a hard lesson to the pride of the community of climbers of that era and opened a small masterpiece that broke the boundaries mental climbers of the time.

Ideal place to receive lectures in the footsteps of the history of climbing.

In the coming newsletters I will follow explaining and recommending new places to visit!
