Ski Banff, Alberta, Canada

Submitted by on Monday, 2 March 2009No Comment

Banff shares its name with Banff National Park, which surrounds it. Many visitors use the town as their base while exploring the park. Skiers going to the top of the Canadian Rockies are struck by the snow-covered peaks and unspoiled wilderness of the park. The Banff area has three main ski areas: Norquay – famous for the Olympics; Sunshine – great family skiing on its treeless fall line, and Lake Louise – the largest with stunning views and wide-open bowls. Heli-skiing, ice skating, great dining and a variety of nightspots complete a wonderful vacation!
