The test, which brought together the elite of the climbing wall, was 12 hours, in which participants had to try to link the maximum number of possible avenues. Each channel is rated on a score by its length and difficulty. The climber with the most points at the end of 12 hours was the winner.

Interview with Lorenzo Ortas, responsible for competition

Lorenzo Ortas, Pena Guara club is one of those responsible for the escalation Riglos Rally. He, along with twenty other volunteers in the control and provisioning of the test and can tell us better than anyone else to develop it.
How was the test?
It was pretty good. Especially since the weather was climbing in the best conditions, though chilly evening rose a little bit of wind. The truth is that this wind ushered us worse than the controls to climbers.
How do you value the participation of 22 teams?
There were thirty places available and last year enrolled 27 cordate. I think there are two factors that have led to fewer people come this year: one is the date because last year was held in June, and the other is the tremendous quality of the teams that are ahead. It is such a high level of winners that scares other teams and do not dare to come.

But the escalation Rally Riglos born as a celebration of climbing wall, right?
Yes, that’s the best. Throughout the day we live a great climber environment, with people all over the walls. Then, at dinner, there is also a great atmosphere and very good feeling among climbers. The day we get to break this kind of stage fright shortage of seats. We have also contributed to people coming to see the proof can follow the climbers in the control of the shelter put some photos with the routes marked and a telescope to see from afar the climbers. The truth is that people came to Riglos to see proof, and even a local school organized a trip to Riglos to see the climbers.
Although the end is a competition and won only one …
Yes, but here every climber reaches its goals and achieve them is a victory. It is clear that the first teams will try to score as much and get a win, but others have other objectives, such as making a lane in each mesh or two lanes in mall …
This year we have managed to become the first Cup Climbing Spain Rally, which began here in Riglos. Where does this project?
The idea was to create a circuit like the Cup ski mountaineering, for example. This year is the first edition of the Rally of Spain Copa de Escalada, which is sponsored by the FEDME. Climbing Rally sponsored Riglos Millet was the first test, and in May held the other two, in Terradets and the Rock of Ifach. In coming issues, we want the three tests are carried out in May.
