Objective of the course,
The ice climbing is one of the most fascinating activities that can be done in winter.

This course enables you to perfect your technique and increase your knowledge so you can climbing routes face a greater technical difficulty and commitment to safety and autonomy, with special emphasis on ice climbing and mixed terrain.

Material / Equipment Needed,
● Appropriate clothes for the cold: thermal clothing, warm clothing, waterproof jacket, cubrepantalón, gloves, hat, ...
● high mountain boots: leather or plastic rigid
● Some spare clothes
● Gaiters or guetres
● Backpack at least 50 liters
● Water bottle
● Front
● Sunglasses and blizzard
● Sunscreen for sun
● Technical Crampons with antizueco
● 2 Piolets Technicians (shovel and hammer)
● Climbing Helmet
● Harness, preferably adjustable

Material / Equipment Recommended (Not Required)
● 2 flat ribbons sewn meeting of 120 cm
● 4 HMS carabiners insurance rate
● basket or plate brake (eg Reverse) with a musket with self-closing insurance
● 6 Ribbons Express
● 2 slings 6 mm and 140 cm long
● Double rope of 8.1 mm X 60m with DRY treatment
● 4 ice screws
● Some nails fisureros and friends

Minimum requirements,
- Experience in rock climbing, at least, IV / IV + first grade sport climbing rope.
- Experience in snowy field progression on low difficulty (PD, up to 40 degrees).
- Be Land or have an accident insurance for sports activities covering the activities to be performed. (Since we can manage your card Todovertical federal, or accident insurance for 9 € / day).

Also, if anybody has any suggestions on good places to stay in the Squamish area or South-Western B.C. in general , feel free to pass those tips along too. There are a ton of Squamish and Whistler timeshare resorts , B&Bs, hotels, and campgrounds in the area, but personal recommendations are always helpful.
