FEATURES AND BENEFITS
2-inch wide Velcro front closure
Easy access to socks and boot laces.
Will not freeze or break up like Zippers can.
Much easier to put on than side or rear entry gaiters, especially in the cold and dark.
Offset
by overlapping the Velcro it is possible to change the bottom
circumference of the pipe to fit properly on nearly every person wears
a boot.
Allows the uppers to be sized to fit over different layers
of clothing. This is important with crampons that will easily catch on
excess material around the ankle and lower leg area.
1000d Cordura lower section, lined with packcloth
Cordura provides extreme durability on the outer part of the lower section.
Packcloth
lining protects the inside of the coating from Cordura wear, adding to
the very high water resistance and overall durability of this bagpipe.

Upper made of 3-layer Taslan Gore-Tex
Waterproof and vapor permeable, allowing vapor to escape the leg section. Taslan the leg section gives a high degree of durability while maintaining the advantages of Gore-Tex.
Nylon-supported rubber strap InStep
Very durable strap material lasts longer than other materials used to secure gaiters. Buckle is positioned to the outside to reduce wear and catching on crampons.
Six Bar Tacks at the point of attachment for maximum durability and strength.
Strap is very wide at the point of attachment to aid in creating an excellent seal at the base of the pipe, where the boot is concave and otherwise open up to snow packing into the ankle area.
Small loop on the outside of the foot section keeps the end of the strap from flapping around.

Asymmetrically cut bottom edge
InStep When strap is tightened, this allows the shaping pipe to fit evenly around the boot, without gapping.
3/4-inch cam buckle at top and Nylon Webbing
The very low profile of this buckle makes it comfortable even when the pipe is against bare skin when wearing shorts.
Easy to open and close with bulky handwear.

Never slips and will not let the top of the pipe slip down the leg.
Webbing 3/4-inch nylon strap will not cut into the leg when tightened as narrower draw cords do.

Hourglass shape

The gait slightly tapers at the ankle to give an even better fit form at the top boot and lower leg.
Combined with the adjustability of the Velcro closure, this helps to fit the pipe leg wide assortment of sizes and clothing layers.
Heavy-duty, double-hook lace Riveted
Grabs the boots laces to secure the front of the bagpipe.
Double riveting keeps it on the pipes in bushwhacking the worst the world can offer.
